Through Genies’ extensive roster of celebrity avatar talent, the partnership will allow users to now access their favorite celebrity avatars, such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Jared Goff, and DJ Khaled, on GIPHY’s extensive platform.

LOS ANGELES - Genies, Inc., a digital avatar company that recently announced integrations on platforms (ranked as #2 worldwide in the Social Networking category) like Instagram, Snapchat, andWhatsApp, now has a new partnership with everyone’s favorite GIF platform, GIPHY. The partnership will bring Genies to GIPHY’s platform of 500+ million DAUs and allow GIPHY users to use top celebrity Genies.

Creating a Genie is simple. Once you download the Genies app, you create an avatar and immediately export it to your favorite platforms. Within each platform, you can search through an extensive library of animations using keywords, categories (happy, FML, ugh, let’s party, sleepy, etc.), or topical action packs that are released every week. Now, Genies digital avatars are searchable on the GIPHY platform. Meaning, if you search for a specific Genies celebrity avatar in GIPHY or anywhere GIPHY is integrated, you will get a GIF version to use. The first celebrity Genies that will be available on GIPHY include Billy Ray Cyrus, DJ Khaled, Offset from Migos, Jared Goff, and Kid Buu.

Genies recently launched their Avatar Agency, which works with celebrity talent to bring their digital identity to life through digital avatars. Through the Avatar Agency top tier celebrities, artists, and athletes can partner with brands and make money through their digital selves. Cardi B, Rihanna, DJ Khaled, J Lo, Manny Machado, Russell Westbrook, and Madonna are among thousands of celebrities currently using their Genies across social and digital platforms. With GIPHY in Genies’ network, talent and their fans can now access and engage with their Genies on even more platforms.

“This partnership highlights the growing popularity in avatar communication as it continues to permanently reshape human interaction,” said Genies CEO Akash Nigam. “With GIFs being one of the most expressive forms of communication in the modern day era, we’re excited to be able to bring Genies into GIPHY’s platform for users to access their favorite celebrity’s avatars."

“At GIPHY, we love to find new ways for our community to express themselves,” said Alex Chung, CEO and founder of GIPHY. “The digital avatar space is blowing up and Genies has amassed an impressive array of partners. We’re excited to bring their content to our users and to continue to explore this new form of visual communication.”
